TARIFF REVIEW
SUBMISSION DATE EXTENDED “The Press’ Special Service
WELLINGTON. July 5. The date by which the Board of Trade will receive submissions on the customs tariff on particular goods for the board’s tariff review has been extended until July 31. Previously the board announced that it should have these submissions by tomorrow. Any alterations to these submissions will be received up to September 30, provided the main submissions are received on time.
A notice in the Gazette tonight says the board is satisfied that it has been impracticable for any company, firm, organisation, or person to forward its submissions by the due date.
“We are pleased that the board of trade has extended the time limit, as this will give everyone an opportunity to consider carefully his particular problems.” said the secretary of the Canterbury Manufacturers’ Association •Mr R T. Alston) said last evening.
