Passenger Licence Granted
Authority to operate a passenger service licence between Oamaru-Hilder-thorpe-Timaru and Christchurch, subject to special conditions, has been granted Trans-Island Airways by the No. 10 Licensing Authority (Mr W. G. Baird). The licence is limited to the carriage of passengers booked on air services operated by the company, and can only be used when because of unfavourable weather, accident, unforeseen mechanical defect, or other unforeseen emergency circumstances, an aeroplane of the company about to commence its flight is unable to do so. or an aeroplane in the course of its flight is unable to complete is journey.
