MAGISTRATE’S COURT
SATURDAY (Before Mr H. F. Butland. J.P., and Mr J. T. Ives, J.P.) DRUNKENNESS Richard Norman French, aged 55, a labourer, was fined £2 for having been found drunk in Stanley street on June 29, his second offence within six months. REMANDED John Joseph Brien, aged 53. a boilermaker. charged with false pretences in obtaining from Ernest Hulan Waters the sum of £ll by falsely representing that a cheque signed J. J. Brien was a good and valid order, was remanded to next Thursday.
Bail was allowed in the sum of £lO and one surety of £lO.
