ROAD-WORK LAMPS BEING STOLEN

Cr. F. P. Sisson, chairman of the Waimairi County Council works committee. was asked by one of his foremen to check the number of red lamps marking road works in Sawyers Arms road last evening, on his way to the council meeting. All nine lamps were in position at 5 p.m., but by 7 p.m. two had been removed. One evening this week all nin« were taken. “This is becoming serious.” Cr. Sisson told the council, which decided to place the matter in the hands of the police.
