A nylon net that is non-inflammable, has been perfected after 10 years of research by a United Kingdom firm. Its effectiveness was demonstrated in London recently when a young model looked on with complete unconcern while flames were applied to the gown she was wearing. Holes appeared at points where the flames touched the gown, but there was no blaze. The net merely vanished over an area as large as the applied flame. A similar gown that had not been processed flared up and was completely burnt within 20 seconds of its being ignited.
