CITIZENS’ ASOCIATION OFFICERS
Mr W. P. Glue was elected president of the Christchurch Citizens’ and Ratepayers’ Association at the annual meeting last evening. He succeeds Mr F. C. Penfold, who did not stand for re-election.
Mr Glue is a city councillor, a member of the Christchurch Drainage Board and chairman of the Lyttelton Harbour Board.
Other officers elected were:—vicepresidents. Mesdames D. I. Radlev and A. Schumacher. Messrs R. G. Brown. W. Machin. J. R. Smith and W. S. Mac Gibbon: general committee. Dr. L. C. L. Averill, Messrs K. H Bartlett. D. S Byrne. M. R. Carter A. Doyle. C. F. Hart. V. C. Lawn. J. O Connor, F. R. Price and J. W, Stevens. Mrs B. White: honorarv auditor. Mr J. W. K. Lawrence The chairman of the general comF’ 1 3 e^. <Mr H - p - Smith! said that nail the general committee retired every year. Those elected last evening were insufficient to fill the vacancies, and the committee would nave to complete the number.
