SPEEDBOAT RACING
NEW BRIGHTON CLUB The New Brighton Power Boat Club held seven races on the Esutary on Saturday afternoon. Calm water and a light breeze provided ideal racing conditions, and some fast times were recorded. Results:— C Class.—First race: Meteor (3min 40sec) 1, Pacific Spot (3min sCsec) 2, Javelin (4min 9sec) 3. Second race: Pacific Spot (3min 47 2-ssec) 1, Conquest (4min 46sec) 2, Scoot (3min 43sec) 3. Third race: Zephyr (4min 35sec) 1, Conquest (4min 45sec) 2, Pacific Spot (3min 56sec) 3. B Class.—First race: Zephyr (6min 17sec) 1, Carol (7min 5 3-ssec) 2, Fireball (smin 39 4-ssec) 3. Second race; Kaniva (smin 36sec) 2. Carol (7min 1 l-ssec) 2, Zephyr (6min 1 l-ssec) 3. Third race: Fireball (smin. 45sec) 1. Carol (7min 7sec) 2, Flying Squirrel (6min 3sec) 3. B and C Classes.—Carol (6min 58sec) 1, Fireball (smin 38sec) 2, Zephyr (4min 50 3-ssec) 3.
