CONFISCATION OF APPARATUS
INQUIRY TO BE HELD ON MARCH 20 An inquiry into the incident in which apparatus, which could have been used to administer a drug to a horse, was confiscated from the box of Super Brigade at the Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s autumn meeting at Addington on February 11, will be held in Christchurch on Tuesday, March 20, at 2.30 p.m. The inquiry will be held by the stipendiary stewards, Messrs F. J. Beer and J. H. Lang, who were in charge of the Canterbury Park Club’L meeting and the club’s representative vill be its honorary judicial steward (Mr H. T. Fuller). The apparatus concerned was confiscated by the racecourse inspector (Mr W. C. Harper), and it was sent to Wellington
for analysis. Super Brigade is trained at Orari by R. W. Townley, and he is owned by Mr A. V. Kingsland, of Invercargill,
