JAPAN-SOVIET TREATY
Some Agreement At London Talks (Rec. 10 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 25. Japanese and Soviet delegates negotiating a peace treaty reached agreement today on a wide range of articles of a proposed treaty between the two countries. But Mr Shunichi Matsumoto, chiel Japanese delegate, told reporters, after today’s meeting, that he "exchanged heated arguments” with Mr Jakob Malik, the Soviet Ambassador to Britain and principal Russian delegate, on certain economic aspects of the proposed treaty.
