ART AWARD IN AUSTRALIA

(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) SYDNEY, January 23. The South Australian artist, Ivor Hele, was yesterday awarded the '1955 Archibald Prize—Australia’s premier art award. It was his fourth win in five years. His winning £5OO entry was a portrait of Mr Robert Campbell, director of the National Art Gallery in South Australia. Mr Hele, who is 46, won the 1954 prize with a portrait of the Prime Minister (Mr Menzies).
