DISORDERLY CONDUCT ABOARD SHIP

SENTENCE OF MONTH’S IMPRISONMENT Reuben Charles Witford Darling, a miner, aged 42. of Westport, pleaded guilty before Mr W. T. Lester, Justice of the Peace, in the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court on Saturday to a charge of behaving in a disorderly manner. The offence was stated to have occurred when Darling was drunk aboard the inter-island steamer express Maori on Friday night. He was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment.
