The first and second heats of the Christchurch Model Yacht Club's No. 8 club race were held during the week-eTld. There was a north-north-easterly wind. Results:—
Firt Heat.—Swan. B. George (3min 40ec). 38min 22sec, 1. Second heat: Swan, 37min 27sec, 1; Red Shadow, F. Grey (7min ssec), 45min 3sec, 2; Westwind, A. Praed (6min 20sec), 46min Msec, 3; St. Ives, N. Praed (7min 30sec). 49min 34sec, 4 Points gained: bwan, 16 points, 1; Red Shadow, 5 points. 2; West wind, 3 points, 3; St. Ives, 2. points, 4. The fifteenth heat of the points trophy race resulted:—Swan :lmin 30sec>, 42min 54sec, 1; • Cadger. W. Schenkel (2min oOsec). 57min Bsec, 2; Kia Ora, N. Porter (12min), 58min 20sec, 3; Arawa. B.
