CHARTERIS BAY CLUB The women’s I class yachting championship for the Hunter rose bowl was sailed at Charteris Bay in a moderate to gusty north-west wind. Results: — Ariel (Mrs F. Mackey), 11.57.33, 1; Farlena (Miss H. Wills), 12.0.10, 2; Kismet (Miss R. Eastmond), 12.9.39, 3. Kismet was not only skipped by a girl, but also had Miss Y. Rhind and Miss P. Wills as crew. Ten boats started in an open handicap race for the Mary Sinclair trophy. The race started at 9 a.m. Results:—Airline (Miss M. Logie), Bmin, 10.40.23, 1;-Tip Toes (Mrs G. Good), 9m in, 10.41.59. 2; Kismet (Mrs F. Mackey). 9min, 10.42.55, 3; Ariel (Miss P. Wills), 7min, 10.44.10, 4; Winkle (Miss J. Neale), 4min, 10.48.42. 5.
