KUROW CLUB’S MEETING

CORNFLAKE CHOSEN IN CUP Kurow had half an inch of rain on Thursday night. It was a welcome change in the weather for connexions of horses with engagements at the Kurow Jockey Club’s annual meeting today. The track had been very hard, but now the going may be better than at earlier meetings on the North Otago holiday circuit. Dutch Flag ’ has been scratched for the Kurow Cup, the first leg of the double. In his absence, there will be strengthened suoport for Cornflake, a fair third behind Watch and Wait and Saba in the Waikouaiti Cup last Monday. The second leg of the double is the Hakataramea Hack Handicap. The secretary of the club (Mr D. V. G. Smith) advised yesterday that Post Card and Gall?nt will be bracketed in the Gillies Hack Handicap. Selections:—
