Plot To Overthrow Government (N.Z Press Association—Cony right) (Rec. 8 p.m.) TEHERAN, January 4 A Persian Army court today sentenced to death four members of the Fadayan Islam, the fanatical Moslem organisation, for plotting to overthrow the Government. A total of 15 leaders of the sect, which opDoses Western influences, have been detained during the investigations into the unsuccessful attempt on the life of the Prime Minister (Mr Hussein Ali) last Noveh.ber. The attack came just before he left for talks on the Bagdad Middle East Defence Pact, to which Britain belongs. Devotees of the sect have terrorised Persian political, life for the last 10 years. One was held responsible for the assassination of a former Prime Minister (General Ali Razmara) in 1951. The condemned men include Navab Safavi, leader of the sect; Mozafar Ali Zolghadr. who attacked Mr Ali; and Khalil Tahmassebi, who assassinated General Razmara. but was later freed under the Mussadiq regime. Four other accused men were sent to prison for terms ranging from three to six years.
