HALSWELL PUBLIC LIBRARY
HOUSING IN HALL EXTENSION The new Halswell Public Library, an annex built on to the Halswell Hall, will be officially opened on December 13. The money for building the extension was raised in the district and most of the building work has been done voluntarily by residents of Halswell. under the supervision of Mr R. Hamilton. The library was first opened in the old school, but there was no space for it in the new school, which was opened early this year. The books were then moved to temporary accommodation in the Halswell Hall, so when the new annex is opened it will mean that the library has its first real home.
