I Members of the New Zealand ■ Seamen’s Union in port at Lyttelton ■ met yesterday morning to bid fare- ! well to Mr G. A. King, Government > Marine Superintendent at Lyttelton, i who has resigned. In presenting Mr King with a wrist ; watch, Mr T. Martin, agent for the union in Lyttelton, said that the re--1 spect in which Mr King was held by ' seamen was brought about by his kindly co-operation and fairness in his decisions. It was with regret that J they learned of Mr King’s resignai tion, said Mr Martin. A crystal bowl was presented to Mrs King.
