N.Z. SECOND GRADE TOURNAMENT
(New Zealand Press Association) BLENHEIM, August. 31. The New Zealand second grade, basketball tournament was continued today in overcast weather with occasional showers. Results:— •
Hutt Valley beat Horowhenua, 22-7; Matamata beat Nelson, 18-15; West Coast beat Marlborough, 18-16; Southland Minor beat Taranaki, 22-21; Manawatu beat Ashburton, 20-15; South Canterbury beat Waikato, 28-17; Marlborough beat‘Nelson, 21-20; Horowhenua beat Manawatu, 25-22; Hutt Valley beat Ashburton, 18-12; Southland Minor beat Nelson, 34-11; Taranaki beat West Coast, 23-17; Waikato beat Marlborough, 21-12; South Canterbury beat Matamata. 37-11; Hutt Valley beat Manawatu, 23-14.
