Princess Victoria Margaret Parente, aged 37, a train-bearer to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother at the Coronation of King George VI in 1937, died in hospital today of poliomyelitis. She was the younger daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Portland and the wife of an Italian, Prince Gaetano Parente. ENGAGEMENT (Engagement Notices must be signed by both parties.) Mr and Mrs A. P. McNamara, 53 Parker street, Blenheim, formerly of Christchurch, have much pleasure in announcing the engagement of their only daughter, Helen, to Vernon Milton. younger son of Mr and Mrs W. V. Gamble, 6 Sutherland terrace, Blenheim.
