A house of four main rooms at 14 Dampier street was sold for £1760 at public auction yesterday. Bidding opened at £l5OO and rose by two bids of £5O, two of £25, and one of £lO. The house and a garage stand on a section of 14.8 perches. Bidding failed to reach the reserve for a quarter-acre section at 68 Bowhill road. North Beach. The section was advertised as a shopping site, and has a full chain frontage. Two £5O bids were made after the opening bid of £5OO.
