Sir, —Was the recent police ball (a) held in a' restaurant under the meaning of rhe act? (b) Was no intoxicating liquor consumed on the premises at all? (c) Was any Police Force member aware of the law at the time of this ball?—Yours, etc., INTERESTED. August 19, 1955. [The letter was referred to Inspector W. R.
