ROAD SAFETY
Sir.—A lot of articles, both good and bad, have been written lately regarding road safety and the rising road toll of killed and injured on our roads. In our own small way, we are doing our utmost to further the cause of road safety and we are of the opinion that a number of articles of the “scary” and biased type are doing more harm than good ana do not give the true story at all. Accordingly, my committee has asked me to congratulate you on your excellent leading article of August 20, which we consider to be a true and accurate summary of the position today and sets an example which others may well follow. Thanking you.—Yours, etc., D. M. TAYLOR, Hon. Secretary, Pioneer Motor Club. August 27, 1955.
