Group Captain Townsend in Horse Race.— Group Captain Peter Townsend, British Air Attache in Brussels, riding Ponthieu, finished fourteenth in a £lOO horse race for gentlemen riders at Deauville. Ponthieu led the field for half the 2600-yards race, but was outdistanced before reaching the straight. Then the Marquis de Triquerville’s Sidano won the race—the Prix Georges Courtois.—Deauville (France), August 28.
