STOPPAGE BY BUILDERS
N.S.W. Workers Walk Off (Rec. 10 pm.' SYDNEY. June 29. More than 20.000 builders’ labourers walked off all major building jobs throughout New South Wales today, after a strike decision last night. Builders’ Labourers’ Federation officials claim that the Master Builders’ Association broke an undertaking to meet union representatives by 4 p.m. yesterday on demands for payment for public holidays, a wet weather allowance of eight hours a week, and weekly hiring instead of hourly hiring. In the meantime, work has been glowed down on nearly £40.000.000
