MOORE HOLDS MATCH TITLE Ronnie Moore, of Christchurch, the world champion speedway rider, held his match-race title for the third season in succession when he beat Barry Briggs, also of Christchurch, recently. Moore won the title from Jack Young, of Australia. According to a cable message received by Moore’s mother, Mrs L. C. Moore, yesterday, Briggs had a 2-0 win in the "first

round at Wimbledon, but Moore won the second round on the same track 2-1. In the decidin'.; round at Wembley, Moore again won. 2-1. Moore was captain of the New’ Zealand and Australian test team which beat Britain, 67-39, recently. Briggs has been appointed captain for the next test. Seven t.ests are to be raced, the last in I September.
