ONE OF THE WORLD'S SMALLEST AND CHEAPEST CARS—Mr Heinrich Schlueter, of Kiel, Germany, demonstrating the first of the miniature cars which he is building. Powered by an electric motor, the car will run about 60 miles on one charging of the battery. It has three forward gears and one reverse gear. The car costs about £80, and it is not liable (at least in Germany) to tax, insurance, or a driving licence. It is designed primarily for children and invalids.
