Synthetic Paper Making
[U.S. Information Service} . NEW YORK. The Du Pont de Nemours Company reports it has produced paper from synthetic fibres. The paper, made from nylon, dacron and orlon fibres, is said to be three to 10 times stronger than wood pulp or rag paper. While the present cost of synthetic paper is higher than that of standard paper, the company predicts that widespread use will lower the price. The firm is turning over to manufacturers details of the paper-making process. ■
