Obscene Language.—Patrick Mackie, aged 31, a seaman, was convicted and fined £5 in the Lyttelton Magistrate’s Court yesterday for using obscene language. On a charge of drunkenness he was convicted and fined £l. Messrs W. G. Salmon and A. R. Day, Justices of the Peace, were on the Bench.
