BUILDING CONTROLS ATTACKED

AUCKLAND PROTEST (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, June 2. All members of the Associated Chambers of Commerce are to be- informed immediately by the council of the Auckland chamber that it will make a strong protest to the Government against the imposition of stricter building controls. At a meeting of the council today, members agreed that the matter was urgent. Mr W. H. Knox said it was ridiculous, in this late post-war period of prosperity, that New Zealand should have restrictive war-time measures reimposed. He felt the reasons given for imposing stricter controls were insufficient.
