WOOL VALUES IN AUSTRALIA
(Rec. 10 p.m.) MELBOURNE, May 2. Prices at today’s wool sale in Melbourne ruled firm and closed at the highest point for the week for all descriptions.
There was strong competition from practically all sections of the buying trade and there was a satisfactory clearance of the 10.800 bales offered. Crossbred prices included: 931 d for good 60’s, 83d for good 56’s and 75d for good 50’s.
