SPECIAL WAGGON FOR NEWSPRINT

RAILWAY DEMONSTRATION (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 27. A railway waggon specially adapted to carry newsprint from Kawerau will be demonstrated in Auckland on Monday before railway officials and newspaper representatives. It is of an open type, for ease of loading, and has an overhead frame to support a tarpaulin. It. is expected that the waggon will carry 15 rolls of paper weighing about 11 tons. The demonstration will entail loading the waggon, sheeting it and then unloading it on to trucks with a fork hoist If the waggon is approved, other waggons allocated to the newsprint service will be similarly adapted.
