MURDERER TO APPEAL

DEATH OF GIRL IN MILK BAR

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. May 27. Frederick Foster, aged 26, is to appeal against his conviction for the murder of Sharon Dorothy Florence Skiffington, aged 19, in an Auckland milk bar on March 28. The appeal will be lodged with the Court of Appeal on Monday—the last day left to Foster for filing an appeal as of right. It is understood that the grounds for the appeal include improper admission of evidence, and misdirection by the trial Judge.

The appeal is expected to be heard at the next sitting of the Court of Appeal, which will begin on Tuesday, June 7.
