The Child Welfare Division in Wellington had heard nothing officially of reports of undiminished juvenile child delinquency in Auckland, as reported yesterday from Auckland, and was not in a position to make specific comment, a senior officer of the division said today. . The report from Auckland was not symptomatic of an upsurge in child delinquency, he said.. Nothing unusual had been reported from any part of New Zealand, and certainly nothing to compare with the abnormal conditions revealed in certain areas by the inquiry into child delinquency.
