STOCK SALES TEMUKA (From Our Own Reporter) TIMARU, April 13. Values for fat cows eased £4 to £5 a head and fat steers 30s a head in a yarding of 120 offered at Temuka today. Several pens of quality wethers and fat ewes were included in the two races of fat sheep but, on the day, wethers were in over supply and values eased slightly. Fat ewes sold exceptionally welL Tailend lots made up the bulk of the average store sheep entry and, with a few exceptions, values held late rates. Values were:— , x Fat Cattle.—Fat steers: good, £39 to £43 2s 6d; medium. £36 to £3B 17s 6d: light, £3l to £35. Fat wethers: good, £32 to £34 17s 6d; medium, £29 to £3l 17s 6d; light, £25 7s 6d to £2B 17s 6d. Fat cows: good, £2O to £23 17s 6d; medium, £l7 2s 6d to £lB 17s 6d; light, £l3 to £l7. Fat sheep and lambs: prime wethers, 80s Id to 86s Id; light to medium, 74s Id to 78s lOd. Prime ewes, 25s lOd to 40s Id; medium. 28s Id to 33s lOd; light, to 25s Id. Fat lambs: good, 65s to 67s Id; medium, 62s to 64s lOd; light, 58s to 61s lOd. Fat lambs: shorn, 56s to 60s. Store Sheep.—Wether lambs, 40s to 555. F. and F. ewes, 26s to 40s. Ewe lambs, to 60s. Two-tooth ewes, to 955.
