VETERANS’ CLUB ELECTS OFFICERS

The third annual meeting of the Can-1 terbury Veterans’ Golf Club was held recently in the Avondale club house. Mr C. E. Wroth presided. The report showed! a satisfactory year, with a membership I of 60. Eleven monthly matches had been played on courses throughout the district;

id the dubs concerned were thanked ar their co-operation. Congratulations A-ere extended to Mr J. S. Piper on his election to life membership of the Avon* dale Club. Officers elected were:—
