TRAP SHOOTING
NORTH CANTERBURY GUN CLUB
Five matches were fired under ideal conditions at the monthly shoot of the North Canterbury Gun Club at Rangiora. A five-target eye-opener with 26 entries resulted in S- Pearce, T. A. Everett, C. .Booker. A. Hawkins, F. J. Rouse, A. J. Lancaster, E. Hammond, M. D. Bailey, W. Counsell, C. D. Bailey, L. W. Kerr, G. Palmer. L. Busch, P. Kidd, and C. H. Rowsen dividing the prize money, all shooting possibles. The main match of 15 targets with 25 entries was divided by Booker, E. Bearman, Counsell, C. D. Bailey, Busch, M. I. Boyce, and C. H. Rowsell, who scored possibles. Those with one down were H. C. Rowsell, Pearce, Hawken, Lancaster, Hammond, W. D. Bailey, Kerr, and Kidd. Twenty-seven took part in a five target sparrow clay - match. This was won by Everett, who scored the only possible. Those with one down and dividing the prize money were Pearce, Kerr, Boyce, and A. W. Fraser.
A 10 target gimcrack, with 25 entries, resulted in Lancaster, D. S. DorreCn, Hammond. M. D. Bailey, Counsell, P. Coleman, and C. H. Rowsell shooting possibles and dividing the prize money. The concluding match, a first miss out. •was won by Boyce at the twenty-second round. P. Kidd was runner-up.
