LOANS FOR RANGIORA BOROUGH
£7OOO FOR WATER WORKS A decision to make application to the Local Government Loans Board for sanction to borrow sums of money totalling £lO,lOO was made by the Rangiora Borough Council at its monthly meeting last night. The principal amount was £7OOO for a water loan for 25 years payable in half-yearly instalments of principal and interest, to provide for the installation of a water pumping plant at the Lflybrook reserve and extensions of water mains. The finance committee, which made the recommendation to apply for the loan, suggested that chargee concerned in the loan should be met from the water maintenance JRd that it would not be necessity to raise the rate. -The second loan proposed was for
