WOLVERHAMPTON IN

Sunderland lost its unbeaten home record, and the leadership in the premier English Association division, today when they were toppled 2-1 by Charlton. Wolverhampton Wanderers, who for the last few weeks have alternated with Sunderland for league championship honours, climbed back to the top by beating Huddersfield, 6-4. Last week Wolverhampton suffered its heaviest defeat for 21 years when routed, 1-6, at Bolton. Wolverhampton now nas 36 points—one more than Sunderland—and both have 13 more matches to play.
