Grenadier Guardsman Jumps From Lorry
(Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, January 22 Police tonight detained a Grenadier Guardsman who jumped out of an Army lorry while on his way to guard duty at the Bank of England in London.
Guardsman S. Cozens vanished into evening crowds wearing his high black bearskin, red tunic and grey-blue greatcoat, and carrying a rifle. He was on his way with 11 other Guardsmen to mount guard at the bank in the heart of London—a * custom going back 150 years.
