TALKS END IN PHILIPPINES
UNIVERSITY WOMEN’S CONFERENCE

(Rec. 8.30 p.m.) HONG KONG, Jan. 22. The week-long Asian-Pacific regional convention of the International Federation of University Women ended today. The Philippines Education Minister, Mr Gregorio Hernandez, spoke on woman’s role in helping man to maintain a balanced approach to science. After the closing ceremonies, the women delegates motored to Baguio, the Philippines summer capital, for rest and sightseeing. Dr, Dorothy an American of Paris and the I.F.U.W. president, thanked* delegates for attending the conference and. rededicated the I.F.U.W. to the goal of furthering greater understanding'among nations. Other concluding session speakers were Mrs Dorothy Forsaith, of Perth, the I.F.U.W. vice-president, and Miss May C. Hermes, of London, the English executive secretary, who read the greetings of foreign representatives and observers to the women’s conferlence. '
