CORSO CLOTHING FOR KOREA

The Meiwa Maru sailed from Lyttelton recently carrying 45 bales of clothing, 91 cases of footwear, four cases of food, four cases of toys and four cases of medical books, all collected during the recent CORSO Canterbury clothing drive and destined for South Korea.

These goods, together with another £31,805 worth of clothing from the Wellington CORSO appeal, will be distributed between the Y.W.C.A., the National Catholic Welfare Conference, the Australian Presbyterian Mission, the Save the Children Fund, and the United Nations Medical Depot. The total value of the shipment to Korea is £54,000, and in addition another £3770 worth of clothing and footwear is being sent for the relief of flood victims in Japan.
