Tile final meeting for the year of the St. Margaret's CoUege ParentTeacher Association was held at the school last evening. Mr H. P. Smith presided, and welcomed a large attendanf®, °, f .ES ents - An interesting talk entitled Observations on Present-day in Rea ding” was given by Miss Trevor. Miss Trevor also spoke of her experiences in Texas as a Fulbright Exchange teacher at Houston. Later the headmistress (Miss J. P. Crosher) answered questions by parents on school affairs. Humorous recitations were given by Mr Frank Brownie and songs were sung by Mr Charles Williams. The hostesses were members of the women’s committee. The November meeting of the Canterbury Housewives’ Union was opened to the general public for a discussion on the report on juvenile delinquency. « was g led by a P ane l of four speakers, Mrs Ann Rosenberg and Messrs T. S oga & Grant, and S. Cohen.' Mrs M. E. Furey presided. Discusion from the floor was vigorous. The following resolution was passed u.ianimously: “That the Government be urged to adopt a constructive attitude towards assisting healthy activity in young people.” A sub-comm ; ttee was set up to report back to the December meeting and sum up the discussion. It consisted of Mesdames Rosenberg, R. Stockwell, and.B, Guyton.
