UNIVERSITY WOMEN’S FEDERATION

CANTERBURY BRANCH HOLDS GARDEN PARTY

The Canterbury branch of the Federation of University Women held a garden party in the lovely garden at the home of Miss I. F. Milnes, Banks avenue, Shirley, on Saturday afternoon. The money raised at the wellstocked bring-and-buy stall, convened by Mrs C. W. Jones, will go towards the expenses of sending Mrs W. H. Scott as an observer to the regional meeting at Manila next January of the International Federation of University Women. The president (Mrs W. Grant) welcomed the large attendance. Members of the committee who arranged the garden party were Mesdames H. W. Millard and Scott, and Misses Milnes, M. Morey, M. Lamb, E. A. Harvey, M. McGahey, and C. Curtis.
