THIRD ROUND BEGUN Wickets were in favour of the batsmen when the third round of the Suburban Cricket Association’s competitions was commenced on Saturday, and the light rain made the ball and outfield slippery. In each of the three senior games only one team batted in each match. Papanui made 246 against Waltham Sumner made 231 against Beckenham, ano W.M.C. made 234 for five wickets agains Matchless.
