. LONDON, November 3 Cheers from both sides of the House of Commons today greeted the tabling of a petition demanding that the deliberate spreading of myxomatosis among rabbits be made illegal. A Labour member, Mr F. H. Hayman, who presented the petition, said it had been signed by 126,000 persons. The petitioners said that they were deeply moved by the widespread and protracted suffering, inflicted on the rabbit population by the deliberate spreading of myxomatosis and by the dangers implicit in this type of germ warfare.”
