Stalingrad-Coventry H-Bomb Appeal
(N.Z. Press Association— Copyright/ , . , LONDON, November 3. A delegation from the Coventry City Ceuncil at present visiting Russia has discussed details of a joint appeal aimed at banning the hydrogen bomb, with members of the Stalingrad City Soviet, the Moscow Radio announced today.
The Coventry councillors, led by the Lord Mayor (Aiderman John Fennel) were invited to Stalingrad to prepare the appeal to the United Nations Disarmament Commission on behalf of the populations of the two cities, the radio said. In a statement to the newspapers yesterday, the Coventry delegation said they felt that Stalingrad and Coventry had much in common because they both suffered particularly from Fascist aggression. y
