Th* Canterbury Caledonian Society concluded its annual competitions in the Caledonian Hall, Christchurch, last evening. Results were:— Senior Championship.—Laurel Watts 1, Marlene Smith 2. Intermediate: Nancy Rodger 1, Paulene Entwhistle and Barbara Dick (equal) 2. Junior: Maree Ford 1, Alison Brown 2, Janice Newell 3. Challenge Cup.—Adrienne Cornelius 1, Rhondda Webb 2, Wendy Cannon 3. Best Dressed Competitor.—Alison Brown. Other results were:— Gillie Callum.—Open and under 17 years: Laurel * Watts 1, Judith Dench 2, Barbara Dick 3. Scottish Recitation—ls years and over: Raylene Williams. Twelve and under 15; Gary Williams 1, Jocelyn Charman 2. Patricia Drewery 3. Under 12 years: Janette Amould 1, Faye Ellis 2, Bruce Williams 3. Irish Jig.—Open: Laurel Watts 1, Judith Dench 2, Marlene Smith 3. Slow March.—Open: Neville Burney 1, Trevor Young and lan Smith (equal) 2. Results of competitions held on Tuesday night were:— Highland Fling.—Open and under 17 years: Nancy Rodger 1, Pauline Entwhistle 2, Laurel Watts 3. Highland Reel (1954 pupils).—Patricia Wilson 1, Deirdre Bullivant 2, Margaret Scott 3. Irish Reel.—Open: Laurel Watts 1, Barbara Dick 2, Pauline Entwhistle 3. Scottish Song.—ls years and over: Care!
