TIMARU HIGH SCHOOL OLD GIRLS’ REUNION
A very happy reunion of the Christchurch branch of the Timaru High School Old Girls’ Association was held last evening. The president, Mrs D. G. Papprlll, welcomed the present and past principals of the school. Miss N. Dickie and Miss J. R. Barr, respectively, also Miss V. Townsend and representatives from the Federated Old Girls’ Association, and the following sister associations: Christchurch High School, Christchurch West, St. Margaret’s, Rangi-ruru, Waitaki. Southland. Te Waipounamu, Ashburton, Avonside, Otago, Nelson Girls’ College, and Mrs J. M. Fraser and Miss ■E. Hassrll from the parent association in Timaru.
During the evening Mrs P. Gibson played a pianoforte solo, and songs and duets were sung by Mesdames Colthart and K. Swallow, the accompanist being Mrs A. W. Scott. Two amusing plays were performed by the Sumner Drama Club with Mrs P. T. Mauger as producer. Those taking part in the plays were Mesdames J. Allard, P. Skinner, M. Fraser. V. Robinson, V. Cooke, M. Quane, M. Mauger, and J. Crosbie. After supper had been served the winner of the lucky number competition was announced.
