First Concert Of New Season (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON, Oct. 5. Ai lt aud l en^ e ab °ut 70 attended the New Zealand Music Society’s first concert of the new season in London. The soloists included Godfrey Tiffen bass-baritone, of Gisborne; Miss Marjone Alexander, pianist, of Christchurch; and Miss Pamela Ballard, soprano, of Wellington, who is returning home shortly. A selection from Brahms was performed with Miss Alexander and Leslie Atkinson, of Westport, at the piano, and with the vocal parts taken by Misses Ballard and Cecile Davies, of Auckland, and Andrew Gold, of Auckland.
