SCENIC FLIGHT PLANNED

SIR LEWIS CASSON AND DAME SYBIL THORNDIKE Dame Syliiil Thorndike and her husband, Sir Lewis Casson, will spend today, tomorrow, and Monday morning flying over some of the scenic beauties of the South Island. The Canterbury Aero Club’s de Havilland Dragonfly will leave Christchurch airport this morning for Taieri, where the passengers will come aboard. From Dunedin the aircraft will fly to the Sutherland Falls, into Milford Sound, over to Lake McKerrow and Holy ford Valley and then down the length of Lake Wakatipu, landing at Queenstown, where the passengers will stay for the night. On Sunday the Dragonfly will fly north to Mount Cook and land at Waihao, from where Sir Lewis Casson and his wife will travel by car to the Franz Josef glacier. The night stop will be made at Hokitika. Trie plane is due to arrive at Harewood at 11.15 a.m. on Monday. The pilot will be Mr I. H. Gunderson.
